This new version of ScummVM adds support for 5 completely new games. The games that now run smoothly on many more platforms than was initially intended are: The Legend of Kyrandia: Book Two: Hand of Fate, The Legend of Kyrandia: Book Three: Malcolm's Revenge, Lost in Time, The Bizarre Adventures of Woodruff and the Schnibble and Drascula: The Vampire Strikes Back.

The number of supported platforms grew as well. The PS2 port has been revived, and the GameCube and Wii are now supported too. Take your Wiimote and make your beloved adventure game protagonist run around the screen :).

The Wiz - the 533Mhz GBA Micro Sized Handheld Coming Soon

Ive posted this over at DCemu and thought i would share news of the newest emulation/homebrew console to hit the news. The announcement of the Wiz or GP2X Wiz has certainly gave us a new console to crave for.

Building on the already well established GP2X software base but adding more speed and graphical power to take open source gaming to the next level.

Project 64 Coming Back to life

The best N64 Emulator for Windows may finally be coming back to life:

The project has been on hiatus for a little bit, well probably about a year! With the payments, I have found another company to try. I have re-enabled the donation page to see how they work out. The account creation process is not automatic so I will have to create the accounts by hand. I still have a busy life, things have not slowed down. My wife is now currently 8 months pregnant. If this payment method works, then I will over the next few months look at doing some work on improving the site. Then I will get back to the actual coding of the emu, where I am sure everyone of you would like me to be.

ANNOUNCE: Dolphin Now Open Source

News from Ector

We hereby release the source code of Dolphin and most of its plugins under the GPL 2.0.

You can check out the code using Subversion (we recommend TortoiseSVN), from our new repository at Google Code. .

A few new features are included:

* New OpenGL graphics plugin by zerofrog
* Basic patch/cheat system (no search yet), support for decrypted Action Replay codes
* Much faster JIT in 32-bit, slightly faster in 64-bit
* Basic Wii support (plays a couple of intro movies, starts zelda, no working wiimote)
* Some more I forgot about right now, see them as bonuses..

With the new gfx plugin, the code mostly builds and even runs a bit on Linux, but games don't work yet. There's now a cross platform wxWidgets GUI.

We'll release some new official builds soon, too.

Compatibility has not increased since the last release, but speed has in many cases.

Dolphin is currently not in a super polished state, but we hope that the community can help fix that, and maybe in the long run also add more features and compatibility. If anyone has a new feature or fix and wants SVN write access, just contact us and we'll add you to the project. Or you could just fork the whole thing, but that would probably be annoying

Have fun,

FrodoDS(C64 emulator) updated

News from GPF

I finally had some time to work on FrodoDS again after nearly a year without an update, I have added save snapshot support and loading snapshots directly from filelist.

Will save the snapshot using the currently mounted .D64 name changing extension to .FSS. This new functionality is on the button X.

Also now when it starts the filelist will no longer popup automatically, so after the c64 boots up, press the left trigger to bring up the filelist, now if you select a snapshot file ending in .FSS, it will automount the same name with .D64 and then autostart the snapshot.

I have updated my website
http://gpf.dcemu.co.uk/Frodoc64.shtml
with the latest release and sourcecode.

Enjoy,
Troy(GPF)
